We had the pleasure of meeting with Dornell Watson-Dean who represents Bahamas Tourist Office on 7/11/19 when she visited our office and met with our team.  She updated us on all happening in the Bahamas such as the many beautiful resort options in Nassau, both All Inclusive such as Sandals Royal Bahamian, Riu Palace Paradise Island and Warwick Paradise Island which are all adults only and other family friendly all inclusive properties in addition to many other resorts that are not all inclusive including the world renowned Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island.  There are endless options for dining, entertainment and shopping in Nassau and Paradise Island which is why it’s also a popular cruise destination.  Nassau is also an easy nonstop three hour flight from BWI or PHL making it great for those who don’t like long flights or just want a quick week-end getaway!!

The Bahamas is comprised of 700 islands and over 2,000 rocks and cays, sprinkled over 100,000 square miles of ocean. The archipelago is an ecological oasis, boasting the clearest water on the planet. (per the official site www.bahamas.com)  I’m often asked, “What is the prettiest beach you’ve ever seen?” and I always answer that the most beautiful beaches and amazing clear water I’ve had the luxury of seeing and experiencing is in the Bahamas, whether it’s when I’ve stayed at Sandals Royal Bahamian in Nassau, Sandals Emerald Bay in Exuma or the private cruise island, Half Moon Cay.

Bahamas does offer full service casinos but did you know, residents of the Bahamas cannot participate in the gaming at the casinos?  They are strictly there for tourism only and not for locals which I thought was an interesting fact.

Junkanoo – Definition – “Old Bahamian music and dance to the thunderous sounds of Junkanoo performed by various groups”.  I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing Junkanoo when vacationing in the Bahamas and there is nothing like it, a parade of loud, boisterous, fun music, dancers, stilt walkers, masked performers, just a great time!

If you’ve ever heard of the excursion “Swimming with the Pigs”, that’s only found (to my knowledge) in the Bahamas!!

Ask us for more information on the beautiful islands of the Bahamas and as they say,

“It’s Better in the Bahamas!!!”
